Unhappy Tick-tock, tick-tock, (killing time)

I've been collecting pop bottles and aluminum cans and have one more week till I can place my order w/PDR.

It's killing me!

Got the TransGo kit and alum trans pan.

The 4" turbo back plumbing arrives tomorrow.

Ordered the Big-Honkin-Muffler today.

PDR order (manifold, turbo, housing, gauges) goes in a week from this Friday (18th/Thanks Mark).

Injectors and TQ in the next month or so.

ARRRRG!

Autometer Z-series Pyro, boost, oil press, trans temp and water Temp and the 5k tach

Just to satisfy my curiosity, how many pop bottles and cans did it cost you?

At 5 cents a bottle, it's right at 52000 shipped.

That's getting me a TransGo kit, B&M 4qt aluminum transmission pan, ATS manifold, PDR HX35, 14cm WG turbine housing, 4" turbo back exhaust, BHM, Isspro Pyrometer, a 60psi Isspro boost gauge, assorted hangers and SealClamps.

A six pack a day would get that stuff in 2.4 years. That could be reduced some if you had a party now and then and did some dumpster diving. I've wondered why my wife has been saving all those cans.

I got my gauges today <me does the delivery truck dance>

Tomorrow is pod and gauge install day. Just got back from the hardware store to get fittings for the trans temp sensor. I already had a 1/2 SS tee laying around. I bought fittings with inserts in them, instead of trying to tackle flaring stuff under the truck. I may look for a spot on the passenger side where the line comes around.

Bought a new tap and the drill bit for the pyrometer install. Also stopped by Cummins to pick up a flange gasket.

Need to look around online for the best place for the oil pressure.

Who has the gallery pics of the alt sensor install?

Well, got the exhaust Friday. I must say, that intermediate pipe has more curves than that girl up the road!

The wife and I put it together in the living room just to toy with it. Hmmmm . . . . . I reckon I can't park the truck in the living room.

I suppose y'all convinced me to go to the BHAF. Got it, and the BandSeals for the exhaust ordered today. The only thing that bothers me about the current intake housing solutions is the fact they draw warm air from the engine compartment. I'm scheming to modify the Smoky-Mount deal so it draws exclusively outdoor air.

Still haven't heard the shipping status of the BHM. Donaldson was suppose to have 40 of them.

Got the BHM today, should be calling Mark with PDR tomorrow with a final order.

And I'm most upset with one of you.

It seems that with my yammering about saving money to buy these parts, somebody's gone and told every creditor out there that I've saved some money. Everyone of them has sent some kind of bill wanting their cut. Dang-it!

. . . ...

I think you'll really like the 'gated 14cm housing. You can even do a tad of porting on it before you do the install. Use the gasket as a template for your work if you decide to go with that idea. Don't go too far on the sides of the housing as the material has varying thicknesses..
As for the housing, I really wish I had a gated 14cm to try on my truck.
I ran a non-gated 14 and it was a haul apples housing....spooled real quick but it got too hot from being pushed too hard. The w/g will help you deal with that problem nicely..
Currently I'm having a gated 12cm aggressively ported and polished to see how it performs on the truck with my fuel settings...I have NO AFC fuel at all presently..I installed a valet switch and I'd like to see how much difference there is in spooling, and smoke reduction.

congrats on the toys.....errr, necessary parts to make the truck more reliable...ya, that's it..
