Throttle Postioning Sensor?

I tried the test to see if it was functioning per the sticky.....absolutely zilch as far as voltage! Anyone else ever had the same results?

Could there be something else causing it to read "0"

Thanks, Tony

Is there power and ground on the plug? Should be +5 v on one side, ground on the other with nothing in the middle. Key on, plug unplugged.

Thanks it seems to be working properly. On to the the next possible cause of it jumping in an out of O.D.

usually the most common cause of it jumping in and out of od is the TPS. If you have no voltage to the tps then the potentiometer will not help your situation. If you do have voltage and a ground then the potentiometer will fix it right up.

Get a working speedo in there to confirm that the VSS is working. Without a VSS signal the PCM has no idea that you are moving fast enough to shift into OD.
