Re:Things to Look For?
I have an 89 4x4 & here's my take on the 89 model year. My truck is a "weekend thrashmobile." An 89 is fine for boat pulling, hauling stuff to the dump, etc. If this truck is going to be your daily driver, the 3 speed auto will drive you nuts on the highway where everyone else is going 70-75 & you have your foot smashed down to the floor trying to keep up while a gen2 or gen3 whips by you without much effort. Don't pay too much for any gen1. I bought mine for the mpg & it delivers. Pulls my boat just fine at 55mph until I hit a hill & the gen2's & gen3's whisk by me with much larger loads behind them. Good luck & don't over pay for these older models.

Thanks guys, they want 7,000 for that 91 and i'm thinking that more like 6,000 is a fair price for it, There is another 91 but its too far away to look at, has 215,000 miles 4x4 Auto 6" lift 315/75/16 tires but he said it has some surface rust and a bunch of little scruffs and scratches and he wants 5,000 obo
