Are there parts to make the ve pump flow more fuel?
I would like to know if there are aftermarket parts to make the ve pump flow more fuel? I know about the springs and dowel pin, but seem to have read or heard of other applications using the ve with different internals that flow more fuel. Thanks in advance, supercharger
The biggest flow improvement available is the 14mm pump heads. Bgilbert has one on his truck as does stomp. I have mine here waiting for air. This is the item that took the big guys from 400hp max to almost 700hp.

Only thing is, with some of these 14mm pumps, reliability is a concern. With two of Old Smokey's and now Stomps taking a dump, its got me worried. Brian's two are still running. This could end up a competition part only and not for daily driving. Mine is doing fine, but its got me worried about going to a bunch of dyno events and having the pump maxed, might have to turn it down til summer.
I'd suggest building a spare pump with this 14mm head, that way you have something to bolt back on in case your big 14mm pump takes a dump.

Hey their are two thing you can do a rotor or a p7100 injection pump I like the ve but all you have is an over worked little pump. I own a 91 1st gen an I have tryed it all trust me go Ppump you won't be disapointed it will be my next step.

A lot of ground has been broken with the 'little' VE rotary pump in the last 12 months. I would not be so quick to call it down for the count in the HP race. 600+ at the rear wheels is respectable no matter what style pump is providing the fuel and the VE has supported just that and more. Plus, all p-pumps are not created equal. A 180 pump from a 94-96? (could be wrong about those figures, sorry) needs a lot more love than a 215 pump to get big #'s. Add in the lines, timing case and cover (that people seem to think are made of gold...) and you've already blown enough cash to get the VE really rippin. I say, stand behind your 1st gen proudly, VE pump and all! Dodge doesn't make them like these old girls anymore.
