Tach Install Problem

I hooked up my Isspro R8912-92 tach leads to my new Isspro tach R5503. I had 12v to my switch power and the lights on the tach worked however the my tach needle didn't even try and read, the needle didn't move. On the 4pin connecter I plug the Grey/Light Blue to the white, Black pwr to Red, Orange to Green, and Black grd to Black just as described in the directions. Then on the Tach I went Black to neg for lamp and to neg signal. white to pos signal. took off the capacitor for 24v and went to that terminal with red. and green to lamp pos. I don't know if my magnets are screwed up, signal to pcm is shorted or borken, or If i got a bum gauge? Did anyone have this problem or know what my problem might be? Once again Thanks for your help.

Heres a good writeup in the sticky, you have to hook up the yellow wire to the grey/light blue wire instead of the white wire in the wiring harnessat the 4-pin connector under dash. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=173561
