Tach install question

My dad recently gave me an Isspro 600 293 Tach kit. Everything is there but the magnets. The instruction sheet that came with it says install the magnets with the blue side out. I have some little magnets I can use but does anyone know how the polarity on the magnets go? I'm sure that is what corresponds to the "blue" side the instructions speak of.

I don't think it matters what the polarity is. It just produces a pulse in probably a hall effect pickup. A hall effect pickup changes it's resistance in the presence of a magnetic field irregardless of the polarity.

your truck should have a crank sensor stock and all you have to do is plugin to the harness under the dash.

ill take that mag pickup kit off your hands.

My plug was located right under the steering column location, slighty to the right. It has 4 wires (I think) into it and my tach had just little plugs. I connected them to the truck's plug one by one and haven't had a problem in 2 years. Tach didn't have any real plug on it, just loose wires with plugged ends.

It`s a flat 4 pin connector, to the left of the column on my truck. IIRC the wire colors are white,orange,black,black...I could be wrong tho, havta go and look at it to be 100% sure.

Thanks for the info. I was just looking at a list of pcm pin locations that I copied and printed from this site and it says #43 Gray/light blue Tachometer provisions. Something else that might come in handy.
