This was stuck in my injector pump...

If you read my last thread about the WOT problem I found out the cause and will post it there.

Before putting the top end of my pump back on I inspected the bottom end and found this.

This little pin was stuck between the housing and the flyweight assembly.

This is the broken end of the pin.

I'm calling it a pin as that is what it looks like to me.

I have no clue what this is or more important where it came from.

It would sure be nice TO JUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE MY FRIGGEN TRUCK AND HAVE NOTHING GO WRONG FOR ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Any help as always is very much appreciated.

I think I figured out what piece it is in the previous pictures.

I'm thinking it's the "retaining pin" for the "timing-device piston".

Pulled the whole pump out and shook it upside down and this fell out too.

I am stunned yet again.

My truck runs awesome yet I have all these broken parts.

I will have to wait for the master "Luke" to come have a look and see if we are getting a warranty pump replacement or rebuilding this poor old soul.

Looks like the small fuel pin, and the retaining nut. Pull off your top hat and look down inside...do you have a small fuel pin slicking out? Also if this pin was missing your AFC should be full of fuel as well.

Is you pump full of rubber? When something jams the governor like that is usually shreds the rubber parts in the drive gear for the governor. Make sure the governor doesn't spin freely.

Could that be the fulcrum lever pin mentioned in safety recall # 605?
