dont know if i have more than one problem but heres what happened. about a 1k miles ago i replaced the gov solenoid # 4617210 and the transducer # 56028196ad. seemed to be ok. yesterday while stuck in traffic started running rough and idle all was over the place then stalled, wouldnt restart. waited 5 min started ran rough for 300-400 feet then stalled. cel light is on now. coolant temp alittle hotter than normal. im thinking some sort of fuel issue so i drain the filter and restart seems to run smooth but idle alittle higher and so is temp. i continue to drive and it wont shift out of 1st gear. i baby it for several miles to a exit in park it in a safe lot. was pulling a trailer and didnt want a 2x tow bill. going back today to get trailer. any ideas on the transmission stuck in 1st without towing to a tranny shop for a rebuild. thanks guys your the best.

 

Need year of truck, since CEL assume at least 2nd Gen. Need CEL codes, sounds like it is in limp mode almost.

Turn the key on to off fast, about five times and then leave it in the "on" position. Don't turn it as far as to start the vehicle, just to the on / accessory position. Look at the odometer, the "PO" codes will be displayed.
