Transmission Temperature Spike
So i noticed when i got in my truck this am for work my trans. temp gauge shot up to 250*F. I was just about to do a fluid change and apparently it is due. I did not feel and slipping or change in functionality of the trans just the temp spike. Does anyone have any information in regards to this issue. Also any good procedures to do a trans fluid change?? Thanks

as far as the fluid change i am about to do mine today, fluid and filter.
a real good friend of mine runs Aamco, he gave me a pan gasket.
he looked at mine and said there are 2 pans used and i had the good one and to use the reusable gasket he gave me not a cork gasket.
from experience, dont take all the bolts out, let the pan come down on 1 corner to drain it partially or youll get a bath and/or make a mess.
