stock trans vs HP

How much can I safely turn up my truck and the stock trans hold up? I already have boost & EGT gauges. The fuel pin has been turned to the deep side, timing bumped about an1/8",smoke screw turned a little, throttle linkage moved. Now if I do the following for now will It hold up,I have a intercooler from a 94,BHAF,4" exhaust turbo back, and turn the fuel screw in a turn or two.I will probably tow no more than 8k on flat ground.I know theres a lot of what ifs but maybe give me some opinions. Thanks,Bob

The stock converter will not like you very much. Alot of that power will get wasted in the trans.

I have everything in my signature done to my truck, plus 37" tires and my tranny is holding up fine. Converter definitely slips a little more than normal and I'm not too sure how well it will do towing, but as far as holding up you should be fine. I would Definitely consider putting a new Torque Converter in there though! You will be able to enjoy the power a lot more

I've got everything in my sig and have put over 307hp through my bone stock A518 tranny. I've had it turned up for around 15,000 miles too. I am definately surprised it has held up and has lasted this long. I've raced hard a few times with it and have towed a little with it. It doesn't like hills when it comes to towing but on flat ground once you get up to speed it will keep its speed and do just fine. Mine will slip once in a while and you can tell I'm not getting all of my power to the ground. I would advise to service it soon and adjust the bands and turn up the line pressure while you have the pan off (in the sticky) and it will help it quite a bit, shifts better, slips less and last longer.

So the question is will it hold up? yeah most likely
Will you get all your power to the ground? no not all of it without a better/tighter converter.
