Still got a Miss?
Dont get me wrong Im stoked to have the truck back on the road ,and its running pretty good, however,at idle I still notice a slight miss that I belive is coming from that #1 cylinder.Once I get up to speed on the road it seems to go away but is noticable while sitting, also getting a little white smoke.Ideas?
Try cracking the injector lines one by one to locate the problem precisely. The one that doesn't hurt the idle when you crack it is the bad one. It's entirely possible that you have a piece of trash in an injector that's making it slobber a little.
Depending on the mileage of the engine, your new injector may or may not solve your miss. My credo is, if I need one new stick, i need 6 new ones. REason being, fuel flowing through the tip hones it, so to speak, over several thousand miles, so your used injectors actually flow more fuel than a new one. Not sure how much, as I doubt the difference would be more than 10hp per cylinder at full load, but that is still a difference.
