Unhappy Spring and gauges are in but not running

Had a great couple of days putting in my new pillar pod, pyro, boost, and fuel pressure gauge. Hooked everything back up and all was good. Started and ran fine.
Next I started on the VE spring install and all was by the book. I did notice that my '89 has no plastic washer between the throttle shaft arm and linkage plate. Didn't seem to be missing but?
Getting the allen screw on the back of the pump is a piece of cake with a long ball head allen wrench. Also there is a spring installation tool for radio control airplanes that made the spring really easy. All went back together ok, no other changes to settings. Now no go.
It fires like normal for the first second and then just cranks. Tried it multiple times but it won't continue. I'm close to positive it is indexed right. I'm going to take it apart again tomorrow and see if I can see anything but thought I'd ask for feedback since it's too dark tonight.

will it start and run if you give it a little throttle? if it does, then i bet its the throtle indexing. I'd say check your indexing again.

Ditto. Loosen the throttle shaft and move it counter-clockwise a notch at a time. Mine didn't go back exactly where it was originally.

Thanks for the replys, that's the only thing I can think of to try.

When I turn the key, it fires and immediatly quits firing and just cranks. Same with or without any pedal.

Is there a low pressure bleed point on the pump to make sure it's got fuel?
