Someone got lied to

Mopar Muscle magazine had a picture of an 84 Cummins conversion on the dyno, said it took a lot of work to shoehorn it in. I guess they don't realize the factory already laid out how to do it?

Pretty sure it was a 5.9 but it didn't say which version.

You can be pretty sure the guy writing up the story was NOT the one installing [ahem…sorry - shoehorning] the motor in.

Yeah. I love how the magazine eds always take it to some shop, but then claim they built the truck. Or how they misconstrue info. Was reading about a dana 60 regear one day. Of course, some shop was doing the regear. The caption mentioned the guy installing crush sleeves at the pinion. It was obviously not a crush sleeve axle housing they were having built. No sleeves were in the pic either.

This was a truck someone brought to a show, but yeah, magazine editors. About the only real hard thing would be using a common-rail and having to SWAG out the electronics.
