solid brake pedal

i changed the a line the other day that comes right off the master cylinder. it was a coiled line but i made it straighter, one of the lines is still the coiled line, would having 2 different length of lines make me not have any brakes and the pedal go so hard it doesnt move?

I think the coil is to allow for flex between the cab and the frame, it shouldn't cause any problem.

Sound like you lost vacuum so don't have power brakes, any change you bumped that big line coming from the vacuum pump or the little one that comes off it for cruise control?

Check and see if your heat control will allow it to swap between floor vent and defrost, that is also vacuum controlled from the same supply. If its not working check for a leak somewhere.
