I just finished installing a set of Kelderman rear bags - I have the fronts to do yet. Yes, they are pricey new, I picked mine up right here on the good ol' DTR classifieds from Swampthang.
I like'em! Takes the "hard" out of the knocks.
Easy to install - once you get the 16-year-old rusted bolts out of the spring eyes.

I don't really like the Keldermann setup. I think you would be better off doing what Jim did, or doing a traditional link setup with bags. I don't see the point of spending that much money while retaining the leaves.
Edit: I am sure you got a good deal on that kit used and I would have probably jumped on it myself for the right price. I am just saying that new, I don't see the value in the system over other options for the price.

They are expensive new. I was about two weeks away from beginning to fab'em up from scratch and pictures - even have a brand new pair of firestone bags to start, but Jason's ad changed the course of things in that regard - and he patiently waited for me to gather up the garbonzos.
The fronts appear to work as some of you guys are talking about - take the weight off the leaf springs and run on the airbag. Load up and you're back down on steel. I'll let you know when I get'em on. I'll try to post some pics when the weather warms up.
The beauty of the design on the rear corners is that when running light, you're riding on air, and you can adjust the ride to your liking with a simple pressure adjustment. When you load up, you can up the pressure and the leaves begin to do what they do best - carry WEIGHT.
I like having things redundant and multi-purpose. I even have a skylift bucket that I bolt to the flatbed when doing high work around the farm, like the high gables of the barn and 2 1/2 story house on a hillside - pretty far up on the low side. It all keeps the wife-approval-factor up. (Honey look what my wonderful truck can do now!

bbrown i have had an old utility manlift that i bolt to my gooseneck for a good 15 years now. i just bolt it to the deck and add water ballast. this was a 20ft plus eve hay barn we built from scratch at my brothers hay farm in central ore. we didn't use a ladder for more than an hour on the whole job. sorry for getting sidetracked.

I own a 89 W350 that my uncle purchaced new. He was in the scrap metal business and put one bad rear suspension upgrade on it. when I picked up the truck the rear sus. was not working, needless to say I had to go to the ciropractor the next day. After I found the loose wire and fixed it I pumped up the bag and boy it rode so much nicer. Now I always have it pumped up. Here are som pics. (I hope)
Maybe it wasn't custom made (or maybe he made more than one)

i bought my kelderman 2 bag set up back in 1990 and it was the best thing i ever did for the truck and my back . back then it was $1200 must be pricey now

are both the same company and they are no good making low quality products, not backing their products, and having horrible un-knowledgeable phone operators.
I ordered a set of rear leafs that sagged out really bad, (just on one side)
and they were blaming me for it...and the people/boss/manager was on the phone cussing at me, whatever happened the to customer is always right?
just my .02 ill save my cash and give it to a better company...
and that doesnt include skyjacker either, although they are a better, more composed company than AIM/Truckinsuspension.
