Question Shut Down Solenoid Question

I have three Cummins engines/trucks that I am soon equipping with manual KILL-cables.

The electric shut-down solenoids in all three are in perfect working order.

What I would prefer to do is to completely remove the solenoids, keeping them for use in non-cable equipped trucks.

What can I put in the hole to take their place ??

Does a gutted solenoid need be in the pump; or, is their a bolt, or plug, or whatever, that I can replace them with ??

Thanks.

The solenoid itself rarely fails, just save the plungers for unfortunate souls who tear the end of of theirs.

If you're gonna remove the plungers and keep the solenoid body in place, be sure to disconnect the wires so the coil doesn't burn up.
