Shocks ????
Just looking to see what you guys are using. There are so many different choices out there. Iam thinking of using the rancho rs9000 adjust. Iam running 35-12.50-16.5 on my 1993 w250. Thanks
Don't use the Ranchos. They're next to junk for our trucks. I've had 2 sets of them before.
A non-adjustable bilstein is not a bad cheap choice. The Bilstein 7100s are the best mediocre shock for the money. If you want a good shock for these trucks, a King 2.5 is likely the best value.

Ranchos are twin-tubes and all Bilstein shocks are monotubes. Monotube is clearly the superior shock absorber technology (especially for racing applications) but they always add some degree of stiffness -- a downside for our trucks in my opinion. I'm running ProComp adjustable monotubes but if I had it to do over I would choose a twin-tube (both to save money and for the softer ride). KYB (Kayaba) makes both twin-tubes and monotubes to fit our trucks and I've never read a bad report on the quality of KYBs.

I just replaced my second set of KYB565105 rear shocks. I was very lucky as the first time I didn't save my receipt and the "limited lifetime warranty" requires you have your receipt. Secondly, the limited lifetime warranty is only supposed to replace one defective shock, not the rear pair -- so you'll have one tired shock and one new shock. Third, kudos to Advance Auto Parts for replacing both of them with the receipt on the second failure of one shock. If I have to pay for another failure, I will research the Bilsteins. I see a lot of folks are pleased with them. On a side note, I am not an aggressive off road, and I'm not into high performance running. I think hitting speed bumps a little too fast or the occassional hauling of my fifth wheel trailer in very cold conditions may be the cause. Not sure.
I have a set of the big Monroe's . Not good. I took two leafs out all around . Lowered it maybe 4" . ..That Took the hard hit out of the bottom of the shock travel. But they feel like the old 80/20 racing shocks we used to use on the front of muscle cars. Jounce isn't bad but rebound dampening is almost nothing...91/w250. Need it to ride a lot better. Getting old. I wonder if lowering it would call for a different number than the one spec'd for the truck. What to use ???
