Hey all, been a while since I've posted. I've been checking in from time to time but things have been hectic to say the least so some things have been on hold. I've been tinkering here and there but nothing major. I've been looking over my up coming swap and have been thinking, the motor I'm putting in my d250 is from a 91 non intercooled, non pcm truck. No cps. The truck it's going in is a 93 intercooled truck with cps. The complete wiring harness is still in the truck as well as the pcm. Can i just add the cps to the 91 engine to make all the do dads work or will i have to swap out the balancer as well? Any help would be appreciated.

Ok had to do a bunch of digging through my pics...seems like the Non-IC balancer only has one notch in it, where as the IC balancer has 2 notches (180* apart) so you would need to swap on an IC balancer, and then the CPS to make it all work.

You would also be missing the air intake temp sensors on the intake plate for the KSB and grid heaters

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if i could just notch the existing balancer to match up. As far as the air intake sensor, would it be missing on the block or just the sensor. I'm not worried about the grid heater as I'll be running a delete (texas weather) but the ksb will be a different issue trying to get it to work without having to toggle switch it

if you cut a notch in a balancer, won't it be "out of balance" afterwards ?

Good question. I went and looked at it and my balancer has 2 notches 180 apart. Looking online it seems the intercooled trucks have 4 notches total 2 sets 180 apart. As far as the air temp sensor i looked at both trucks and I'll have to try and find an intake plate from an intercooled engine as the non intercooled do not have the holes for sensors. Just my luck lol

My 93 intercooled balancer only has 2 notches...not 4. and my old 89 Non-IC unit only had one notch.
