If I copy and paste the link, it works.

If you use the insert link icon/routine, you can tidy it up a lot and make it work for all.

Make a description line, like "Big Hammer" or "Gasket Set" (without the quotes)
Highlight the description
click the Insert link icon
Paste the url in the space provided.
Walla, the description is underlined, and now links to the long URL.

Phones can be a PITA. All I have is a flip phone and I only use it to talk on. That is really all I really need.

I figured someone would have chimed in by now. I'm getting ready to pull this motor from my donor truck and i want to reseal it. It's an original owner truck with 108000 on the odometer. Babied all its life but the trans went out so the previous owner and he let it sit for about 7 years. Heck when i bought the truck i threw a battery on it and it popped off on the third hit but for peace of mind i want some new gaskets throughout. Figured someone out there might have used this kit or brand and had some input. I have Mahle valve cover gaskets on my D350 and they have done great so maybe I'll just pull the trigger on this kit.

Truthfully, the only thing that might suffer from sitting are the crank shaft seals. Check the turbo shaft for play. If it got damaged from a dry start up, there'll be palpable play in the shaft. Turbo bushing and seal kit is about $80.

At 108,000 is isn't even broken in good yet.

Yes sir. I plan on replacing the turbo anyways. Once i get the engine out of the truck and look it over it might all change anyways. May be good to go.

Sometimes fate has a funny way of finding it's way to you. I got sent from my normal work location (Cameron TX) to go pick up another truck from a repair shop in Conroe TX. I was all but thrilled () about my last minute 2 hour drive but away i went. I got to the shop and was talking to the owner about the repairs made when i kept seeing one of his hands prepping an engine to be loaded in the back of a chevy for haul away. I asked about the soon to be dismantled 12 valve and he informed me the head gasket failed and he since had replaced the engine with a new one (in said chevy) and was giving it away to his buddy that does all his machine work. Not before this ol buzzard had a go at it . $20 later and away i went happy as can be. Slowly gathering parts for the bus motor swap
