Sad day in Kansas City

Well, Bgilbert came and got the truck today. Really sad watching her get trailered off. I snapped a few pics for you guys to see. Bill came out in his pretty old crew cab. I got my asking price so I had to take one for the team.

Should we all have a moment of silence for his loss.

It's hard saying goodbye to an old trusty steed. But it's alot easier when you know it will be well taken care of.

It was like watching a good friend die and go to heaven. Sorta.

Bgilbert is a fast bidding vulture! You snooze you loose around this guy. And, he had some of those girly 1" straps tieing the backend down.

I'm just kidding. This guy does exactly what he says he'll do. He's a nice guy and I was glad to see it go someplace good. He did try a set of PODs in there and even with the soft pump it hazed at idle. It sounded a lot better with the pods than the stockers. He claims he'll daily drive it but I see a drag truck in the future.

We'll see you guys the next time around.

Truck looked great< looks like Bills trailor could stand to be just a hair longer,(looks like it put quite a bit of toung weight on it)
I CAN IMAGINE THE FEELINGS YOU WERE GOING THROUGH WATCHING IT GO DOWN THE ROAD.
aT ONE POINT IN MY LIFE THINGS GOT PRETTY TIGHT AND I SOLD MY CORVETTE, i`M STILL POINTING OUT EVERY ONE THAT I SEE TO THE KIDS AND TELLING THEM ,I USE TO HAVE ONE OF THOSE.

Big big thanks.

I would like to thank you Clint for taking me and my Dad into your home. The spare bedroom was much more comfortable than the crewcab would have been . I could not have asked for more. You were such a HUGE help with the loading of the truck, airing tires up, supplying sockets and wrenches that I forgot . You could have simply said here's the title, have a good one/goodbye! Clint is first class, first gen all the way. I'm sure we will see him in here again with another good running 1st gen . I told him I would just get a motel room and he said save that $120 and allowed us to stay there.

Don't worry I'll take good care of it. Daily driver, or never know, might pull the big pump and big turbo off the 89, throw em on this one, add a good convertor, shift kit and see if I can get a 12sec truck. I'll start on the pump R&R next weekend.

My old crew and 360 gasser didn't miss a beat. Purred right along at 55mph. If I had a good trailer, I woulda been hammering along at 85mph, like I was on the way out to you empty. Figuring as I was about 2000lbs overweight on the rental trailer, and the junky looking 14" tires, I wasn't gonna get in no hurry. No problems at all with the trailer or tires, I was greatful. I gave the trailer a big kiss when I got the truck unloaded LOL. Thanks again Clint, you were a huge help, I'll keep in touch.

Bill,
Thats the trouble with these trucks, their so front heavy, you had plenty of tonge weight right and it looks like it just fit on that trailer. You wouldn't want the truck's wheelbase an 1" longer.
