Question Reviving the dead

1990 250 cummins diesel 4X4 There is a black 10 pin wiring connector at the firewall just to the right of the heater valve that has seven wires coming out of it, a rodent has eaten the wires withing 4 inches of the connector and I have no idea what those wires are supposed to feed. Can someone take a picture of this area and send it to me, I looked at a 93' but too new and it is different mine is a 90'.thanks

Camera in hand, I went out and raised the hood; 1990 3/4-ton 4x4 5-speed dealer-A/C; I am not seeing anything like you describe.

There is only the bulk-head connector that is right beside the clutch cylinder and a photo of this one would do you no good as everything is wrapped snug plumb out of sight; no wires visible.

It would help if you posted a picture of what you have and maybe some of us can identify what you have going on.

Are the wires you are talking about coming out of the wire bundle above and right of the engine, beside where the blower housing enters the firewall ?

About six inches below that big wire bundle is a connector; is that it ?

Yes it comes out of the main harness with 10 wires going in but only seven coming out. I have some good pictures but haven't figured out how to attach just yet.

As you can see some critters have eaten the box that covered the blower motor besides lots of wiring damage. I have the left side all figured out and rewired including all of the front end lights, just need to figure out where these wires go.

Please forgive the quality of these photos.

As you can see, the whole bundle is sleeved.

As best I can determine, the whole mess disappears down below the engine and from there it's anybody's guess as to where they go.

Considering their location, I would assume at least one or two goes to the A/C compressor.

I thought there was a real good description in the "Sticky" as to where every wire went, but I had no luck finding it.

I hope these poor photos help you figure out your mess.

I found that two of the wires go to the backup light switch on the top of the transmission and two of them went to the back of the transfer case where the speedo switch is.
Thanks

Thanks

While you are having all this fun, wipe off the wires so as to see the colors and stripes and make a list of which goes where and a diagram of both ends of the connector showing where the colors go in and out and maybe someone in a position of authority will then put it in the "sticky"

I honestly thought we already had all this well-explained and in the sticky, but I am not seeing it anywhere.
