Return Fuel line

Well, the truck I bought proved to have a few other small issues. I got the rearend to stop leaking by changing the pinion seal and pumpkin gasket. In the process of changing the above I broke the right rear brake line, which I got fixed but had a heck of a time getting the bleeder screw out.

Next was leaking fuel from the return line, just after the last injector. I cut the return line after the last injector and spliced in some rubber fuel line, the other line that T into the injector line that goes along the block and hooks into the VE pump? I had to cut as well. I took it off the pump and turned the banjo fitting 180 degrees and attached the other return to that, i then put a T in that line to get it up to 5/16 which is the size of the line returning to the tank. Do you all think this is a good idea, I have yet to run it but It seems like it should be fine! Any thoughts are appreciated. THanks
Nick

As long as you don't get air to enter the system you should be ok.

Huh?

If you are worried that after doing this job you allowed too much air to enter, it could. Get out there and start the thing to find out.
