Red/Green spring in Fuel pump

After adjusting the starwheel more and more I got the idea to just remove the spring located directly above it and see what that did. After a quick test drive I noticed what seemed to be faster acceleration before the boost kicked in .. but it also could be my imagination. No increase in smoke however .. is this removal safe/recommended?

Yeah its the AFC spring and thats the information I'm looking for .. if its "okay" to run like this for extended periods of time - I've had one friend say yes and another say no so I'm stuck in limbo. Thanks

I'm surprised you're not fogging out the road. It won't hurt anything but your fuel mileage. If you like the way the truck runs, leave it be.

If you like that, then remove the afc lever! Night and day.
