What is a good replacement for the Overflow Coolant Tank? Mine is the original but is looking pretty brittle and worn. Some of the universal ones don't look like they have very much quality and I don't know what type of fabrication would need to be done to make them fit. LMC get $65 for a new one but sometimes their quality of their parts doesn't match their prices

 

I would get a good used one from a place that is nicer to plastics and such that very hot and sunny AZ.

I have several of those saved on the shelf, and I literally live in one of the cloudiest counties in the US, Pretty cold up here too.

 

I found a new (aftermarket) one online for under $30 and ordered it. Hopefully it is good quality.

 

New overflow tank is a perfect match to the original only BRAND new. Works great. Got it from Carparts.com

 

Way back when, before factory installed tanks I made one using an antifreeze jug. Worked great, cheap and easy to replace.
