quick ? about t case yoke nut/seal

well i guess i have to admit fault on this one. i replaced the yoke seals on my t case a while back and it didnt take long for them to start leaking again. the curious thing is its not leaking from the seal, its coming from behind the lock nut. so i think maybe, first i didnt tighten them enough, and second if there is a gasket behind the lock nut, i didnt replace it. so my questions are, how tight are the nuts supposed to go, what size nuts are they, and are there gaskets behind them? TIA!

They do make a rubber seal that goes under the nut and washer. Not sure if these had them when new, but the newer NV/NP boxes have them.
