Questions For Colorado Residents

Hello Fellow Ram owners (this is my first post as a new member). I'm considering a move to the southern Denver Colorado area (from rural Indiana), and am curious whether my vehicles will be subject to any type of State inspection. I have listed my vehicles below. Also, I'm curious about the general yearly cost of vehicle registration. I'm assuming traffic flow will be a huge culture shock compared to the flow on rural Indiana roads (could be frightening)! Any assistance with these questions will be greatly appreciated.

1990 Cummins Powered Ram
1987 Audi 4000S (a bit tired and not worth putting much money into, but an excellent daily driver)

Hello, I moved to Idaho from SouthWest Colorado about three years ago( I prefer Colorado) . Yes, the Denver metro area will be a new driving experience for you!! Other than a vin verification at your intial reg, there were no other inspection requirements that I remember. If everything is the still the same in Colorado, your truck should be somewhere in the $50 a year range and your Audi about $35. If I were you, and you had the choice, I would look at Colorado Springs, over the Denver area. That is unless you want to be closer to the I-70 ski hills, then I would look west of Denver, like Idaho Springs. Expect a higher cost of living! But it is a beautiful State

In the Denver metro area (not sure of the boundaries) there is an emissions inspection that is required but it is not a big deal. I live in Castle Rock which is in the extreme south end of the Denver metro area if I can help with any other questions let me know.

Like they said, just a normal VIN verification then a not too tough emission test(for Diesels anyway). I live in S.E. Denver for reference. P.S. The traffic does indeed suck.
