Angry WA State Residents are paying big time at the pump

Just got through searching for the lowest diesel prices in my area and found we here in WA State are paying (2.59) almost 30 cents more then then the national average (2.18) Then our controversial governor with all her wisdom raises the gas tax 3 cent in july to a total of 9 cent over the next few years. What gives????

Talking INSERT "CRY BABY" SMILIE HERE

Dude...... here in San Diego it is $2.80/gallon for diesel and I who knows for gas. We have been getting bent over for years down here and I would love to see the pump read $2.59/gallon.

Dont blame me..... I Didn't vote for Bush.

We're still paying $2.59 at some pumps here in my neck of the woods, I'd like to know what states are pulling the average down to $2.18 ?

What are all of you crying about! Try Idaho...

I've been paying $2.709 to $2.909 for 3 months now!

You your upset about $2.50 (I wish it was that cheap!)... Try living out here you'll be singing a new tune...

The local station and gearing up for 3 dollars a gallon and highier... I watch the guys rework the pumps.

First off,
let me clear up a couple of thing for Turbo Deeezle and Mopar1973man. Reread my post! The price I stated was an averge! Not what is the going rate in my area and it's most definetely not what I just paid for my fill up last night at Safeway (2.70). Unfortunately, the problem in California was created by Californians. I know this because I lived in California (San Diego to be exact) so I have first hand experience with how things are run down there. As for Idaho, need I assume you are most likely in a very rural area. You're the next state over from me so I understand the situation you portray. I make the point of only stating we are paying way too much for this stuff. And believe me Turbo Deeezle, Kerry would'nt have us in any better situation!

Ok... So I the price drops to $2.559-2.659 in Boise (last time down)! Not a saving to me...

Or the last time to Lewiston $2.609 - 1 week ago!

These are not rural towns (listed above!)...

This is rural (listed below)...

McCall, Idaho is and 2 dayz ago it was $2.859... Both stations are the same price!

Riggins Idaho $2.729 yesterday... (common used -Chevron fuel -The only one without water in town!)

Yes, I was a ex-California resident. I understand the how Cally works... Smog controls, etc. Born and raised CA and moved to Idaho in 1990...

As for you paying 2.09... Bring some up here we need it BAD!

We are the ones out west that bring up the national average... The east coast has got it made! ~$2.00

To be honest, I consider Washington, Idaho and Montana all to be rural states.

One more year here and I'm heading back down to Texas. Out west is just getting to expensive for me. Dont get me wrong, Texas as a whole is rural, but we enjoy many major metropolitians and for the most part a cheaper way of life.

Glad to have you get your panties in a bunch. Look back and see the smilie.I don't even care to get into the one sided debates on who did what and where. Gas and Diesel is expensive everywhere and today diesel is over $2.85 here in your old stomping grounds.
Only thing that keeps me from not going postal is filling up in Baja at under $2.00 as much as I can.

Pretty much, yes. Not quite as strict, but darn close.

Oregon's governor is trying to do the same thing.
