A 1st gen with its lift pump that runs off a cam in the motor when it is running will have NO fuel pressure when NOT running.
If you hooked up a problematic ELECTRIC fuel pump then that would be another story.
If you hooked up a problematic ELECTRIC fuel pump then that would be another story.
