Question bout lifted first gens

Guys Im lookin to buy this 89 cummins 1 ton with about 8-10 inches of lift and 38-40 inch tires I really dont know because on the ad there is not much of a description well I was wondering if anyone could tell me the road characteristics of these trucks when lifted???

They're miserable old birds even at stock height and reasonable tires, so the suck **** will be up to at least 11 with the rig you're describing

well I dont care if it is a bumpy ride cuz believe me I know that it will be rough but i am just wantin to make sure if the steering will be all out of whack like my old chevy cheyenne used to be with 38s

I have a 4" lift on a w250 with a kelderman air ride after lifting it it started wondering but the ride is so nice. off road my second gens cant compare , the 90 handles and rides way better!

its quite simple and cheap to do cross over stearing on these trucks. and that makes it much nicer than the push pull stearing it has now.

The answer to your question is:

It entirely depends on how they lifted it and what steering it is setup with. If its got crossover and an expensive soft ride lift. Then it will probably ride great. Otherwise it will drive like a boat and ride like a brick.
