Pyro/Trans Temp gone, What's Up?

Fired up the truck yesterday and the trans temp gauge and the pyrometer both quit working. Quick check under the hood didn't reveal anything obvious. Everything else works as normal (tach/boost).
Got any suggestions?

Are they all tapped into the same power source? It may have come loose or blown a fuse.

Autometer..........

The gauges are autometer but I don't remember the series. Black face, red marker (try to look like others).

I checked the ground , Now I'll check the hot hook-up.

Still......

Had to bring this back up to the top as the Hot is Good and the Ground is good so What else, bad gauge/gauges ?

Ram_SRT-10, What's up with unplugging gauge ? You mean disconnect the hot side and re-attach?

Thanks, Billy

not sure what style autometer yours are but on my colbolts there is one plug right on the back of the gauge itself unplug that for 5 sec and plug it back in should reset the guage

Plug?????????

Ram_SRT-10:

Is this plug your power connection? Or is it the lead to your probe?

I'm guessing it's power so your "turning off" power and then reconnecting. YES?

Sorry if I seem a little dense just want to make sure I understand what to do.

Thanks, BKTC

your gauge must be a different model and not have the one single plug on the back of the guage all i can thing to tell you is check and powers and ground

Any other suggestions?

O.K. I'm still not getting anything on the trans temp or Pyro. The lights on them work when I turn on the lights but the gauges don't register.......

Anybody know if "removing the power" is what Ram_SRT-10 is talking about? If so then what about the trans temp gauge?
Mine don't have a plug. They have a hot, a ground, a light wire and an attachment for the probe.

I just can't believe both gauges went out at once..........

Have you checked to see if the wire from the prob's to the gauges is good? Are the contacts at the probs good? If you have both wires going through the fire wall at the same place maybe the signal wires got broken by vibrations. Just check continuity between the prob and the gauge. Or check for continuity in the probs. if there is no continuity in the prob then there bad.

Hope this helps
