Pump Leaker, Never seen one like it.

So I picked up a parts truck today, she runs but pours fuel out. Whats strange is where its pouring out. Looking at it from the side, the last "section" where all of the injection lines thread in, one can see a .5-1mm gap between it and the main body of the pump. Looks like the gasket has been washed out. Any way, has any one seen this, and could I possibly pull the pump and put that gasket in? Trying not to put money into this one.

Wow, I'm amazed it runs!

Sounds like the head is actually loose. It's not impossible to fix it yourself, several guys on here have replaced that seal.

Yeah, that's a weird one. The local Bosch tech that I've talked to a few times says that he routinely has to helicoil the pump body to accept the distributor head during a reman...he said 3 in 5 if I remmeber....

Hmm, you suppose its from the pressure in there? Is there a source for pump seals online? I would like to patch it for now, but????

The local Bosch pump shop is the way to go. If you can't find one, Scheid will ship.

Have you tried tightening the allen bolts that hold the distribution block on? My pump started leaking from the same place and I simply tightened the bolts, very carefully, I didn't want to strip them, this fixed the problem for me though and It didn't cost a thing.
