trying to reach the 3rd back bolt to bump the timing was near impossible. Its like there is some extra deep part on the bottom. I have only messed with 4 other 1st gen pumps but none of them had a bottom case like it. Also the fuel screw is different. It has a regular kinda nut and brass crush washer. No spot weld marks or anything. It didnt have the tamper covers on the fuel, idle, or full throttle screws. The fuel lines have nick marks where I guess at some point they were removed. Dont know if its the stock pump or not. I do know with one turn on the fuel screw, maxed timing, and starwheel all the way up I can hit 30psi and still not clear up the smoke. It clears to a medium haze but still rolls. I dont have a pyro in yet so I dont stay in it too long in 4th and havent been brave enough to see what happens in 5th.

Someone let me know if I'm crazy and wishfull thinking or how to tell if its the stock pump and stock injectors.

 

Your other trucks were non-intercooled, right? The later vacuum pump makes it harder to reach the nut, it's not because the injection pump is different.

 

only one non ic, but they were all the same pumps. there was NO way to get even my S-wrenches on that last nut because the bottom of the case.
