Pitman Arm & Drag Link

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a dropped (2") pitman arm & maybe an adjustable drag link for our trucks? I did not have too much luck looking on the internet just now . . . And pickings are a little slim locally.

Thanks,

Alec

Alec,
I run a skyjacker adjustable draglink on my truck as well as a skyjacker dropped pitman arm. I wish I would have never purchased the adjustable link as I truly did not need it for adjustment. If you run a matched suspension system under 6 inches of lift and granted you have the dropped pitman arm included in your system I would recommend not wasting your cash on the adj. drag link. I paid 350.00$ canadian (310$ american thereabouts) for the link and about 260.00$ for the drop arm . I am 99% sure that skyjacker is the only manufacturer of an adj. drag link for our trucks, however there's a few pitman arms out there. They gotcha by the Kiwis on the link . If you post some suspension details for your truck I may be able to help you a bit further.

Mad Mikey.

Can someone get me a picture of the skyjacker adjustable drag link. I am about to make my own and am wondering if there might be some need for me to make these to sell.

My truck has add-a-leafs in the front (from a previous owner). I would guess that I only have 2" of lift up front, but the truck has pretty bad bump-steer, and in 10k miles, I am going through my second drag link . . .

It looks to me as though a dropped pitman arm would improve the steering geometry, and I asked about the adjustable drag-link to see what people thought of them. If they are a really heavy duty item, then it might be worth shelling out for it even if I don't really need it to be adjustable.

Rocky Mountain 4x4 has the drop arm for $86, and they want around $200 for the link.

I got both on mine when I got a Skyjacker lift. Not sure if I really needed the adj. drag link but it is pretty heavy duty. When my steering wheel was off and I tried to adj using the link, it didn't work as I needed to screw in for adj and it was already all the way in. Luckily, I also have a borgenson shaft so that made the adj that much easier.

If you're dealing with a lift of more than 4 inches, you might want to go a different route and install a cross-over set-up.
