new injectors

Lightbulb new injectors

my truck has 250K on it and i have owned it since new, should i change the injectors and could that be why i only get 10-12 mpg when it was new i was getting 19-23 MPG it starts real good but seems to be low on power of late . and my power screw is in as far as i can turn it before runaway. it starts good all the time has a light haze at idle and at wot ......pump ?or injectors?

2 days ago along with the lift pump and changed all fuel hoses and the two 90 deg. fittings on top of the fuel tank?

Yes it's probably your injectors. My injector guy told me that they usually are no longer efficient after 125-150k. They lose the fine atomization and just squirt instead. The truck will still run fine but milage will go down. I was getting about 14 mpg. When we pop tested some of my injectors they were popping 750 psi. too early before full pressure.

My truck has about 175k on it and after i put in the POD`s I noticed the idle quality/smoothness went WAY up. And the mileage is up too....I think, I havta keep my foot out of it to have an equal comparison . But based on the looks of the injectors i took out it could`nt go anywhere but up...those sucker`s were NASTY lookin.
