Piston Pump Conversion
Piston Pump Conversion
I have heard that the stock lift pump on our trucks don't really like a turned up VE, and I plan on turning mine up, and I would rather take all the precautions to prevent any kind of failure. How hard is it to do a piston pump conversion, what all do I need, and where can I get these parts?
Thanks for any help,
Parker

There's a full write-up in the sticky... I followed it and had no problems.
You need about $200 in parts, standard tools and about an hour or so to do the job. All the parts you need are available from Cummins, but may have to be ordered (I had to have the new fuel line shipped in special).

Complete Cummins based kits for just under $245 are available from http://www.tndiesel.com/parts.shtml
