piston lift pump?

Hey guys, I am replacing my lift pump, and just wondering if i would benefit at all from a piston pump? my mods are in my sig, and i will have a water/meth system in tomorrow as well as a Gilette diesel stage 3 kit in about a month (i know these have nothing to do with fuel) should i go to a piston pump setup?
thanks.

My own opinion is that any truck /owner will benefit from a piston-lift-pump.

When you swap pumps, also replace all the hard lines and banjo bolts with 3/8 flexible lines, tees, and fuel pressure gauge fittings.

With flexible lines, fuel-pump R-&-R becomes an act in simplicity.

The bully dog fuel pin is soft and can get a grove worn in it in a short time and start to stick. Keep an eye on it. I have seen it on the 2 of them I have messed with. Now I run the "DennyT Power Pin" That a friend of mine makes ( also a member on here ). Its very hard SS and we have played with a few diff fueling curves.

I agree that the Bully Dog pins are soft. Mine is grooved pretty good. I have even thought of doing a little heat treatment on the pin myself to see if I could raise the hardness a bit. A better material than stainless steel for hardness is tool steel or drill rod. I haven't had very much luck heat treating most stainless steels unless you get into the 600 series or some of the 17-4 ph or the 18-8 ph.

Yes, you have big enough injectors to need some more fuel flow.
