Passed!!!!
Well a little while ago I posted a thread about my stock truck not passing emissions. After a whole lot of up grades and fixing a few things I finally got her to pass. My first shot my opacity reading was 44 out of 40
now after a rebuilt turbo, a bhaf and a new fuel heater I ran a reading of 2
. I could not believe it my self and the guys at the emissions place made me run a second test to make sure, and sure enough. Not bad for a truck with 155,000, and not detuning the pump.
Just thought I would share

For those of you not familiar with diesel emission testing, here's what we're talking about:

Arizona apparently allows 40% opacity, so he only failed by a little bit. 2% is hardly visible.
Newer setups use an impartial electronic probe in the tailpipe rather than a state employee's eyeball.

Those electronic ones can be fooled too. I've gotten by one year on my 93, due to equipment calibration malfunction. I like those tests, its only $9 vs $28 if the stuff works.
Its a joke here, its just to make money, and it all depends on which station you go to, as they all look for different things.
I've blown a 0 before, talk about throwing them for a loop, they just stand around and scratch their heads.
