So what was the reason that you could not get the pump out?

Here are many different views of the pump, what 3 bolts are you talking about?

When you are working on the internals of your injection pump you need to take care that you do not nick or deface the flat mating surface on either the body or the top or you might create a leak, also you need to perform your work in a clean environment.

Before you start you want to get yourself a Bosch Gasket Kit #DGK-121

OTOH, there is a pump shop up the street from me here in Portland that carries just about everything for the VE. They have sold me some stuff over the past 6 months like a 366 spring and some other gizmos, and they seem quite cool.

Anyway, they are called "Diesel Fuel Injection Service," and are on Vancouver Way. Don't even think they have a website, but a google search should turn up their phone number.
They are a good outfit. I used them when I broke the lever in my pump putting in the 3200 spring. They'll have all the parts. I had them rebuild my stock injectors too, made 185's out of them

actually it was a stupid move on our end. this was our first pump removal so we were using and instructional video that weve found on youtube. and it told us to pop the gears off the shaft before removing the 3 nut that hold the pump on. and every time we did it the gear was movable like it was suppose to be, and when we loosing the nuts up there was enough room for it to move it off the shaft either. so just had to take the nuts off completely and popped rite off.

and on the first link u gave me looks like #104 that holds #95 into place it had like a 3 sided head bolt on it
