oops!!! i broke it-urgent

Went to take my pump cover off today and when I tried to loosen the line that attaches to the top, the head snapped off. Normally I wouldn't worry to much but since it's obviously not coming loose but it has a hollow center so I'm assuming whatever is supposed to flow through will now flow out of it. What kind of bolt is it and any ideas on how to get the old one out??? Can I drive it? I haven't tried starting it yet.

You can drive it, it will just be a little down on power. That's just the boost line to the AFC. You will not get any extra fuel when the turbo spools up, that's all. The tiny boost leak won't make a difference. Save the plastic washers. Use an EZ -out to get the rest of the banjo bolt out of there. You can get a new banjo bolt from Cummins, or if you have access to a drill press you can get a metric bolt the right size and make your own.

Thanks guys. After Iposted I took a chill pill and made a couple phone calls and got the same info you gave. I got a hold of antrim and they said they probably have it but the pump guy isn't in til monday, so for now I've got electric tape over it. I doubt it's actually holding boost in but it makes me feel better about it.

Yea it sure did. I managed to make a regular 12mm bolt work. I had to grind some of the side off since I don't have a drill press. The guy up at Antrim said that should work and darned if it doesn't. I'm still gonna try and find the right one but as far as I can tell my redneck engineering worked and I didn't even use any duct tape! Oh, BTW super glue won't hold everything together. I found that out after ruining about the fourth bolt by drilling a crooked hole.
