I was talking with Stomp about how people are scared about the 14mm VE's after I....ahem....drove my truck up 7 hours to Santa Rosa to dyno. At least a dozen people over the years have said they were going after Jeremy's 680, nitrous or no, and bought a 14mm. I know there are at least a few, because I have gotten PM's. So let's have it, who has a KTA or Rocken Tech 14mm that they are just sitting on?

And are they for sale? And if not, when ya gonna run em??

I'd like to have one. Not going after any records, just more fuel.

Does anyone tow with them? I'm not above 1,500 mile trips dragging the old Airstream.

It is about protecting themselves from criminal prosecution by selling parts that defeat Federally Mandated clean air act equipment on vehicles. Yes they are gearing up to go after those of us that sell the products so we have to cover ourselves from liability.

They KNOW that people are using the dpf delete products on the road even though they are designed for OFF ROAD use only. They now feel the way to stop it is to go after the people that sell the products even though they are clearly sold as OFF ROAD use only.

Thank the guys who think it is so cool and fun to pour gobs of smoke out the tail pipes for this coming about.

Sounds like they may have run afoul of California's environmental laws. Very many aftermarket replacement parts are for off road use only. Just my guess...Mark

I had one on the shelf fit a couple years but never used it. Sold it this spring.

If your post is missing, that's because you should use the classifieds for want ads.

I'm rollin on 14.50 hoosiers, that count?

Schied pump here. The waiver they have to sign is for emissions. The competition pumps have no KSB and the timing locked down at 0* internaly.

Havent put but about 3 miles on it, but it sure idles nice in my driveway on jack stands.

Sweet!! Running is running in my book....just roll it onto a dyno

Be careful with those sissy injectors too!

Running a VE pump that has the timing locked out defeats the main reason to run a VE in the first place. You can live without the KSB, I have for years at high altitude cold, but the internal advance would be tough to live without. My truck wouldn't hardly idle if I had to statically advance my timing to where it is now.
Glad you let me know that the Scheid pump is set like that. I was concidering it (not like I have the cash)!

Not to derail this thread but it was to my understanding once you put more than 10psi of fuel to the pump at an idle then you effectively get rid of timing as it's already on its way to advance?
And for what is worth I've got a piggy bank that is almost full enough to give Giles a call! So I hope to be in the "club" with in a month.
