Oil Filter Question: What other years use the same screw on filter?

Hey guys,

Just trying to find what other applications use our same oil filter. Do the 94+ 12v use the same filter? Further than just the 12v?

Thanks!

hey-Hey!!!,
I think all the 5.9's use the same filter( though the internals/guts seem to vary ). I got the Stratopore for mine; round bottom. got them mail order from Ken's Machine.
cheers,
Douglas

Lf3894 (what i use) is built for 24v's but can be ran on 12v's... there isnt a difference besides its built to widthstand more oil pressure. its the stratapore style media FWIW. I think the 24v's shouldnt run the 12v filter though because the 12v filter isnt designed for the high pressure spikes.

Thanks, guys. I've got an Amsoil Bypass system I just removed from my truck and I'm trying to figure out what years it will work on.

I believe the filters are all backwords compatible, but not fwd compatible.

Best oil filter is the Amsoil EaO80 or Donaldson ELF7349, then the Stratapore.

LF16035 is replacing the LF3894. So soon you will only be able to use the LF16035. But it fits all years as was stated from 2011 down to 1989. I use it on both my 08 and 97.
