oh no another injector thread

Ok so i know there has been a million injector questions already posted but i'm asking any way.I can get a smokin deal on some ddp sticks my choice of ether 40hp or 80hp.I dont mind some smoke at full throttle but i do'nt want a steady stream of it all the time.I tow my hotrod once and awhile but truck is mostly for everyday driving and lot's of play.I'll also add i have not messed with pump much was waiting for injector's first.Ok so what do the diesel guru's have to say.

I'm no injector guru or any kind of guru for that matter. But in my case i'd go bigger and adjust your smoke screw accordingly. It never fails that you buy the smaller item and then you want more-a wicked circle it seems. IMHO buy the bigger injector and tune to fit. I,m sure your like the rest of us-more power more power more power. Good luck.

x2, you can always detune but you can't get more power from limiting injectors.

however... difference is 55lpm vs 60lpm I think.

I'm pretty happy with my DDP 3's (40 horse). You can still lay down some good power with them, someone god 400hp through them. Mileage is good with them too.

well I know 400 hp with the 80 horse ddp injectors is possible but I would think it would be mighty tough to get that through the 40 horse ones.

I like the ddp 80 horse inj. because they are actually decent for smoke imo. Mine put 65 horse to the wheels and something close to 170 ft lbs of torque on my truck and the only other power mod I've really done is a dennyT pin. I would think they could give the full 80 horse if your pump is turned up but I don't know, I haven't turned my pump up. They run clean and smoothe so far for me. My odometer is only working intermittently so it's hard to say but if I had to guess, my mileage has gone up slightly with a heavier foot.

Worth the buy if you're getting a good deal on them. If I had to pay full price for mine I probably would have just gone with a custom set of injectors but for the price (If you're getting a deal), you can't go wrong. they are a good injector.

DOnt get me wrong. I had buyers remorse 2 days after I bought mine. I called them and asked if they could upgrade to the 80 horse injector, but they had already shipped!
