Another Performance Injector Thread
Hey all, wanting some opinions on injectors from the high hp guru's. This summer I hope to upgrade to a version of the S300. Something from HTT for sure. I'm wondering what injectors you would recommend with this. Also, I'm non-i/c right now but will be getting an aftermarket air to water cooler setup so charge air cooling will not be an issue. I'm not afraid of smoke but I would like something that will burn clean when I'm not getting on the skinny pedal. Also not wanting a loss in highway mileage. High hopes, I know. Anyway... let me know what you think would be a good combo with the schwitzer! Stage3's? Stage 4's? Custom? Thanks. Definately something bigger than POD's I think. Unless you think it would be a good match with it. I'm thinking something a step above them would be perfect

Im in the same boat as your right now, Im looking to get a s300 series turbo within a month or so and im not sure if my POD's will spool it. The pods on the non I/C trucks hardly make a differance if any at all. So I want something more then just a step up from pods. Its gonna have to be custom
I think you are approaching it from the wrong angle. Get the fuel, then when it comes times to decide what turbo you need, you will have a better idea of what to get. If you plop down the coin for the S300, and it isnt enough, you will need an S400, or similiar, and be out nearly a grand for a turbo that wa too small. See what I mean? You only need enough air to keep your EGT in check. Some guys are making 400hp on a HX35; others cant keep it cool with a stock charger.

That's a good way to approach everything dp. I appreciate the alternative view. I basically had my heart set on an S300 because I know the pickup will still be very streetable with it. I'd go crazy if I had to wait for an S400 to spool
My final decision on the comp wheel size etc, will be when I know what injectors I am going to purchase as well. I think the S300 will serve me very well as far as horsepower and torque numbers. It's a very good and realistic goal for me. I would be able to pull mountains or run circles around Ferds.
Keep the replies comin fellas

I currently have the BD super b S300 turbo this thing spools stupid fast and I am running everything its got at aprox 42-45 psi w/ the large BD injectors, fuel pin, and my pump is maxed out. At wide open fourth and fifth are fairly clean burning. With my pump settings 1-3 gears are a little smokey but that could be tuned on the pump. I like mine heavy on the fuel as I use the water/meth to clean it up. Cant tell you about milage as I gernaded the gutbag before I had more then 1000km on everything. If you are planning a larger S300 like the BD Special B turbo (I think its like 62or64/14 or something close) then I would go to a larger injector for sure. I hope I can EDM mine enough to flow for the twins. We will see.

All right if I read this right in your sig yourr Afc cone because you're worried about your head gasket and you want to add more fuel and boost. Might want to address the problem of the head gasket if it is prior to adding more things to make it fail, more boost fuel and heat. Once that's taken care of stuff a HTB2 on er and some EDM's and see what lets loose next. Jethrro
I would look into the dyno proven 600+hp injectors KTA runs from Buddha Power. Contact him on how to order a set. I got mine through him. Scheid Diesel can build a good set too.
DP the only guys making 400hp with a hx35 are 24 valve trucks that can move air. Don't believe it when you see p-pump 12 valve owners claiming 400+hp with a hx35. Then again, it could be west coast hp.
