NON Tilt Wheel Ignition Switch

I've looked through the stickies but I haven't found anything on replacing the ignition switch for an 89 with a NON tilt wheel.

Is it easier to remove the speedometer cluster to get at it? Is there a procedure to adjust the switch so it works properly?

Thanks

Edwin

Edwin, the 89 should be the same as the 90, but I don't know for sure. Here is my ignition switch replace thread from the sticky:

It is a bit tricky, but not too bad. If my instructions are clear as mud, that would be about right ...Mark I just realized that you are talking about the switch, not the cylinder. It is located down on the steering column and is actuated by a metal rod. It is a pretty easy job on my 90...
