no power steering

no power steering

Hey everyone
I have a power steering issue for the last few weeks when my truck is cold the steering is really hard to turn, today when its warmed up its not easy to turn either,Today I started the truck let it run for a couple minutes,shut it off and you can here it sounds like its under presure open the fill cap and some fluid came bubbling out... any ideas does it need a new pump

Change the fluid. Put in a quality synthetic power steering fluid.

I had a return line rust out.It leaked very little but would let air in and cause hard steering and foamy oil.

Sounds like air in the system.

Jack it up, remove the cap, and have someone slowly turn the wheels from lock to lock, back and forth, over and over, SLOWLY, while you monitor the fluid level and keep it topped off.

If the problem returns, then you need to find the air leak.
