New Rear Drums

Howdy,

After looking at my rear drums,I'm thinkin'I'm gonna'need new ones soon.

I'm not even gonna'ask the *******...I'm sure my heart couldn't take the shock.

Where's the hot ticket to get new rear drums? Any idea's?

I bought one new drum for my drw from dealer for $175 that was 6 yrs ago.

drums

find a good supplier and have them checked for round. seems today most are imported and poorly made. I would turn yours if possible.

I agree with apache, turn'em if you can, as it's alot cheaper. If not, don't go to the dealer, try another parts supply store.

Sometimes you can find one in a wrecking yard for cheap that will get you by, if you're as broke as me. Good luck anyways.

Howdy,

OK, let me re-state what I said...my drums are shot.

They should have been replaced at the last brake job...they are deeply scratched and obviously too thin to be turned(except into scrap maybe).

What year did the 2nd gen trucks go to rear discs on the Dana 80?
