I agree but it's their dog and pony show. I'm not disagreeing with you about their crappy way of doing business but they are big business and like our Government have grown so big that they don't care about the public they serve. It's all about the money.

I was buying not selling, maybe it's different.

I wish there was a good alternative to ebay. I've found that for buying I like my local Craigslist better. I can put my hands on the item before I lay out the cash. If it's junk and I buy it the only person I have to blame is me. On the selling side the number of buyers is smaller though. I'm looking forward to you resolving this successfully, I believe you will.

For fear of hijacking this thread, I just wanted to let you to know that I am now in the market for a pony (I already have a dog!)
You are right, thank you for your post.

EBay is evil, I agree, but I do love the fact that I buy a lot of stuff right from my office (tax free from out of state venders.) If I need something immediately, well, off to the store I go. If I need it down the road for a project or invention of mine, well, I just fire up the computer and surf away.

I have been using eBay as my primary search in order to understand what product(s) are out there that would assist me in whatever I am thinking about putting together. Then, I surf the web with this newfound information I received through eBay. Usually, I can bet the prices on eBay anyway.

EBay and PayPal have gotten insane with their fee structures!

I too have been using Craigslist, however, Craigslist is a limited search engine due to the miles I am willing to drive in order to pick up the item. I have never sent money to anyone on Craigslist yet.

Just a side note: The IRS has added a line on our income tax return a few years ago asking for the total amount of on line purchases from out of state vendors.

Well, I have to go to work now. Millions on welfare are depending on me!
