New injector pump install

I'm in the process installing a new injector pump. I have rotated the engine to tdc (using the tdc lock pin). Looking at the keyway from the pump side it is at the 5:30 position. Looking at the position of the key on the new pump (also has a mark where the key is) the are not going to line up when i install the new pump, one is @5:30 the other would be about the 6:30 positions. What do I do, turn the engine or the pump to be able to line up??

As long as the key lines up you'll be close enough in time to get it running.
I'd just move the engine to match the pump....

The ears on the pump are slotted for fine tuning the timing. It may still line up.

Never mind, I must have been having a senior moment. The pump goes in at an angle, not straight up & down which is the way I was looking at it! Everything went in fine. Now I just gotta charge up battery and give her a try.
