New diggs

We just bought this house in Commerce, OK.

We will be moving there in Sept. 2021. I will be so glad to be out of Commiefornia. Oklahoma is the reddest of the Red states. They also have constitutional carry.

Congratulations Edwin. I know you’ll be a lot happier. Detached garage and a flat driveway finally. Two acres will give you a little breathing room.

My wife is getting me a riding lawnmower or maybe a small garden tractor so we can grow veggies. Maybe have a few chickens. Space to work on the old Dodge. My tools are almost more than this 2 car garage can handle now. I can't wait to go see the place. We have renters in there now so that covers the payments.

Thanks everyone. To be honest the garage is what I wanted. The house could be a tar-paper shack for all I care. I need space to get my tools and truck inside at the same time.

A place like that in Alaska would run near $500K within city limits. My tiny 1 acre place well outside of city limits was still $150K. The only advantage, NO property tax. Glad your getting out of that hell hole.

Congrats...having some room to breath will be nice. Place should clean up well and you have a couple storage sheds and a nice 2 car shop with covered work area out front...pretty good set-up!

Congrats on getting out of Commiefornia. After a year of searching we bought a place in the middle of nowhere deep into the hills of West Virginia last year. When I say in the middle of nowhere I mean it. No TV, no radio, no cell service but crappy satellite internet and phone lol. The wife has been here since March, I finally retired a month ago, put the Florida house up for sale and came here for good. Man, it is so nice here, I know you'll enjoy your new place as much as we do ours.

The wife and I grew up in the area. We have been in a few storms but neither of us has ever seen a tornado except on video. The worst problem is the humidity and the bugs. A/C fixes one and spray for the other.

Congrats on your exit plan. Governor Gruesome gets worse every day!
I'm trying to get the truck and camper reading for traveling in a week. Heading up to Idaho since we never been. Problem is real estate is hot there and I think we're priced out. Have to buy with cash, no retirement for me and no mega-buck property to sell so we're limited on what we can afford. South Dakota looks promising.
I was pleasantly surprised to see I can carry in Idaho, but not Nevada.

I have worked through a lot of that state. The sun comes up at 9 a.m and sets at 3 p.m.

No where else in this country is like that.
