Need the name of a part.

Does anyone know the "official" name for the magic box that runs the grid heaters on non IC trucks? Are they avaiable aftermarket or is it a Golden Dodge Part. Thanks.

Module, heater control.

Current pn R4429546 lists at a gold-plated $449.

This just in!

AutoZone lists a Cardone Reman PCM part #79-9448 for $248. The pic looks nothing like the heater control module, but they say it replaces OEM# 4379448 - which is the Mopar part number for the heater control module back when they still had them. The only currently valid Mopar pn is for a reman unit, whch is the number I referenced in my last post.

Cummins sells the grid heater control module as well. I would bet cheaper than Chrysler. I do not have my part book here or I would post up the p/n...
